For as long as I can remember, I have loved the fall season. Everything from the warm colors, rich aromas of something amazing cooking in the slow cooker, cooler Florida weather and open windows, football, fire pits, Smores and all things pumpkin spice…every bit of it makes me smile. I actually feel happier during that time of year!

So I’m always excited to share my fall home decor and tablescapes with you. And I’d say that you’re in for quite the treat this year. The 2019 fall season is bursting with vibrant colors and textures, and I was inspired to step outside of my “neutral” comfort zone and have some fun styling our outdoor entertaining space.

One of the things that I really love about At Home is their huge selection of home decor, at very affordable prices. They offer decor across multiple categories, that is on-trend and budget friendly. Let me show you what I picked out for this year’s fall decor!

Because the exterior of our home is an olive green color, I will typically stick to neutrals for my outdoor tablescapes. But when I saw all the the gorgeous burgundy in my local At Home store, I was inspired to think outside of the box. I found these beautiful ivory colored, quirky melamine dinner plates, and amber colored wine glasses, and I knew they would be perfect to the table. I layered the plates and glasses on top of burlap placemats, embroidered with the word “thankful.”

These dinner plates are so pretty, and I’m LOVING the placemat!
And the amber wine glasses are fire!

Now, can we talk about these stunning burgundy colored pumpkins?! They are so rich and vibrant, I felt like they were screaming at me from the shelves in the store. I couldn’t decide on whether I wanted to use the sequined ones or the velvets ones…so I brought home both styles.

The velvet and sequin pumpkins are stealing the show on the table!
These table fillers are perfect to fill empty space on the table.

In the seating area, I started by switching out our red and white outdoor rug, to one with neutral colors to complement the recent family room update. I’d originally planned for a much needed outdoor furniture update as well. However, not all of the pieces I wanted were in stock. I decided to grab what I could now, and update the rest of the furniture later on. So, I spray painted the old chairs (again), and added a new loveseat and ottomans from The Weston II collection at At Home on either side of the fire pit. We are already enjoying the additional seating!

I love the new neutral outdoor area rug!
The Weston II outdoor furniture allows for multiple configurations.

I styled our updated seating space with more of the warm and rich burgundy hues with decorative toss pillows and throws. And to style the end tables, I added white lanterns, finished off with a simple burlap bow, in burgundy, of course. 🙂

How gorgeous is the pillow with burgundy pumpkins?!
These large metal lanterns were the perfect size for the end tables!

Everything turned out really gorgeous, and I’m so proud of myself for exploring with bold pops of color! It feels so cozy, inviting and festive…now we just need some cooler weather. 🙂

Once temperatures do cool down, we’ll be enjoying our favorite wine and cheese collections in our beautiful backyard. I found this perfectly sized marble serving tray, and wanted to show you this cute charcuterie tray I put together for Ben Buttons and I to have a date night.

This marble serving tray is the perfect size for a date night in.

I hope you got some great ideas for styling your outdoor space for the season! For a full video tour, click here.

Cheers to enjoying a fabulous fall! Until next time…

Love & peace

  3. Beautiful outdoor setting!! Do the Weston II pieces have a way to clip together? If not, have you noticed if they slide apart at all? And are the cushions comfy? Thank you!!
