Hey y’all! I cannot believe that the holidays are here already! And for the first time in a long time, I’m not done with my holiday shopping yet. In fact, I really haven’t started…yikes! If you’re in the same boat, there’s no need to panic…we’ve still got a little time. And I thought I’d share a few of my favorite things for gift giving ideas to help you get started. So, if you need some inspiration, you’ve come to the right place! Here’s part one of a few of my favorite things this season…Happy Holidays!
Cocktails
Let’s start off with the important stuff…spirits! If you don’t already know, this girl loves her wine and cocktails. I recently discovered a lovely martini that I shared on IG called the Crantini. If you like a Cosmopolitan, then I think you’re gonna love the Crantini. It’s super easy to make, it’s festive, and it’s sure to be a hit at your holiday party. Check out all of my Mel’s Minute Cocktails on IG, #melsminutecocktails.
Here’s what you’ll need…and you’re welcome!
2oz. vodka
1oz cranberry juice
.5oz triple sec
.5oz extra dry vermouth
Cocktail glasses
Speaking of cocktails, I also love to serve them up in something magical, like these absolutely stunning martini glasses from Pier1. They come at a very easy price point for the look, and they make quite the statement in your hands! What a perfect gift for your fabulous bestie or favorite IG friend!
The Perfect Throw
We can’t get enough blankets in our house, and I added a new one this year from Pottery Barn that I am totally in love with. It’s weight and chunkiness are incredibly inviting, and I’ve found myself wrapped up in it with my favorite glass of wine over and over again already. A great addition for your own home, or another cool gift for one of your favorite people.
The Perfect Candle
This season’s #1 scent is Yankee Candle’s Balsam & Cedar! I’ve always been a fan of the Yankee Candle brand because of their long scent life during a burning session, and scents that aren’t too overwhelming. The Balsam & Cedar fragrance offers a mixture of juniper berry, balsam and cedar wood, all mixed together to bring you that foresty-smell of Christmas. I’m really enjoying them for myself, but I also grabbed a couple more for those pop-up gifts that always seem to catch me off guard.
I hope you found some of these suggestions helpful. In part two of a few of my favorite things, I’ll be sharing the hottest wine glasses of the season, and a must have bottle of Cabernet that should be in your collection if it isn’t already.
Happy shopping!
